Below are a sampling of my clients reactions to taking a class, workshop or one-on-one session with me. I would like to thank all of them for their kinds words and wish them much success in "healing through movement".

John Weiss has a pleasant gentle manner, he is both personal and professional, and clearly dedicated to the field and attentive to the well-being of his students. In the Medical Qigong class John teaches an excellent range of movements, and gears the instruction for all levels, slowing introducing more detail as students are ready. I found it helpful to learn movements that serve different purposes: for example, some to relax and calm before bedtime, some for cleansing, some for energizing. After a session I typically feel clean, pleasantly relaxed, and refreshed. I highly recommend this gentle, but effective energy work to anyone. Jill S.
As an expressive arts therapy student therapist, I am required to experience the therapeutic process as a client- with all the apprehensions that go with the therapeutic encounter. John's invitation to welcome into my sessions, "that which inspires you", helped me remain comfortable in my own skin rather than apprehensive about the possibility of having to leave my religious/spiritual practice at the door. I found John a caring and insightful witness to the subtleties of authentic movement, poetry and drawing. I left each session with a deepened sense of relaxation, peace and food for thought. What a gift! Thanks John. - Kim Ballke
Movement therapy is a powerful way in to the stuck places inside oneself. It has the ability to shake loose whatever is resistant to view. It doesn't happen all at once. With John's gentle guidance and non-judgemental ability to hold the space and witness, I experienced an astonishing catharsis which was the culmination of several sessions of work with him.- Joey Mallett
John Weiss has a vast knowledge upon which he draws. I found him to be extremely professional, experienced and creative while working with me as a client. He shared many of his skills with me and many of those I have taken with me and use on a regular basis. John has studied and practiced with the best in movement therapy and I was extremely grateful that I was able to find someone who, I feel, is a master in the field.. I looked forward to each session knowing John was helping me to remake my world.. - Patricia.
I felt immediate trust in John Weiss. It isn't easy for me to unwind or open up to talk or move in front of anyone. With John it was an easy connection that helped me reach some of my issues that for me ongoing. He gave me some tools to take home and use for some of my challenges in life. He has strength, wisdom and warms, that help me relax and find my own growth. I felt that I worked well with his therapy. I found myself opening up to my imagination with ease. His approach is gentle, and I would recommend John without hesitation. - Jamie Hume
John is a gentle, encouraging, non-threatening instructor, and I like the expressive, thematic form and process he offers up for the exploration of our inner landscape through movement (with visual and verbal components). It works for me. It is not about performance or getting it right; it is about entering a feeling state and gaining new insights about oneself.- Ingrid Alderson
"John provided me the space and the guidance to perform my own self care and imaginative exploration free from judgment . He always worked intuitively, approaching my issues with compassion and creativity." - C. Smith
Besides providing a wonderfully safe space to experiment freely with movement, John instinctively discerned what we all needed – individually and as a group – and created the conditions that made sure we all got it. What a great gift! - Avril Orloff
John's workshops are like pre-school for adults. We move, we play, we draw and we have important fun together. - Kris Klaasen
John provided an inviting, safe and relaxed atmosphere that allowed me to connect with others as well as the meaningful aspects of my own well-being. - Pieter Van den Berg
The work that we did at the workshop was gratifying in that it allowed me to expand and explore parts of myself that are forgotten in everyday life. It was fun making art, stretching and even laughing. Lovely day! - Katy Churcher
I found startling illuminations about myself in John's workshop- very direct, very obvious, full of truth, simple things that the body had to show me. This is freeing. - S. Galay
John Weiss helped us realize that The Victory Girls really are from outer space! This was key in our survival as a new accapella music trio. In only three workshops that John designed especially for us, we found out who we were as individuals in a group and how to play off each other in a group. Using sound, movement and drawing we gently stirred up information from the unconscious that helped us discover key ideas for developing stage characters. We still use his tools for overcoming performance anxiety. His approach is so gentle and fun that we can't recommend him highly enough. – Mildred and Coko, of The Victory Girls
Learning about and appreciating movement more than I thought of before--Delightful! - Annette Harding
I appreciate that I am more creative than I thought. I discovered that I am able to lead my life and not allow others to control my life. - Shawn Dahl
An enjoyable, inspiring playful session with self learning. - Stan Shaffer
This was a great way to connect mind and body and be creative in a safe space. - Michael Atkinson
Respectful, Knowledgeable, No Pressure - Ken Chalmers
